Gibson had been sleeping through the night for a good month until a couple of weeks ago. The first night Philip and I just thought it was a fluke, but then it continued to happen. We weren't very happy!
I thought that cereal at night might help. Maybe he wasn't getting enough milk during the day. At his four month check-up, the doctor said that she really didn't want him having cereal until he was six months old. However, she said we could reevaluate if needed. Well...we thought it was time to reevaluate so I made an appointment to see his doctor.
She really wasn't happy with the idea, but I finally conviced her that we really did enjoy our sleep. That night Gibson got his first tast of "real food."
As you can see, not much of it made it into his mouth. Most ended up on the bib, and as you will notice from this picture, he actually liked eating the bib more than his cereal.
We have only done cereal twice after this night. He has slept through the night most of those nights. Maybe it was just a growth spurt...
