Gibson Michael Lutz is HERE!

Born at 8:35 8:25 AM on January 21, 2011.  IMG_2119_WinCEHe weighed in at 8 lbs 9 oz. Even though there was about two inches of snow we had no problems coming in.  We did pass two wrecks on the interstate.  The police were already on the scene, but it did not look like anyone was hurt.  Even with all this I was able to get us to the hospital at 5:54 AM.  For those who know me well please take note that I was able to get us to the hospital not only on time, but with six minutes to spare!

The wait for surgery was... um... well... painfully slow.  It is not that we did not have things to do (read as paper work) but we were just ready for a baby!  Surgery went without any problems or complications.  Baptist has made changes to their procedures since we were here two and half years ago.  This time Gibson and I were able to stay with Natalie through the entire procedure and then go to recovery with her.  This was better for all of us.  With Keegan I was asked to leave with Keegan and take him to the nursery leaving Natalie by herself for quite some time.  That caused me GREAT anxiety.  This time I could be with both Gibson and Natalie--what a great joy.

Natalie's parents and sister also came up to see our new bundle of joy.  They  weren't scared of the ice and snow.  What should have been about a thirty minute drive was an hour and a half "adventure" and arrived to the hospital around 8:00 AM.  They too made it without any problems only to wait...wait and wait some more for Natalie to come out of recovery. After about two hours in recovery we were moved to "our" room on the 7th floor around noon.  Shortly after arriving here we were greeted by Pastor Howard and Associate Pastor Shane Tarter.  Thank you for coming.  It really means a lot to both of us.  Natalie's parents and sister were finally able to find us in our new room. Around 2:30 PM my parents brought The Boy, Keegan, to see his little brother.  IMG_2143_WinCENatalie and I have been discussing this moment with him for weeks now, but we could know for sure how he would react to his new brother.  I met my parent's and Keegan at the elevator and walked with him to our room.  We talked about Gibson and he was "excited".  When he entered the room he was happy to see his new brother!  He was VERY excited and when asked him if he wanted to hold his new brother he said "YES!" with great excitement!

Thank you for your prayers, words of wisdom and support!
